In a disclaimer posted on the show’s facebook page, Access Media Productions said; “We wish to make it publically known that we totally disassociate ourselves from the unfortunate drama that unfolded on Sunday 19th of August 2012 at the Grand Mensvic Hotel during the Grand Finale of the ‘Am in love with Bomaye’ reality television show.”
Repudiating the occurrence, Mabel Germain, C.E.O, Access Media, stated; “Few hours after the grand finale, our audience started, bombarding us with accusations of manipulating the final decision on all social media platforms.
“It is rather unfortunate that the “King” Alex Biney failed to abide by the reality shows rules and declared his love for Promise Okasa, aka Promzy, the contestant that was evicted that very evening being the contestant with the lowest vote, and dismissed the 3 finalists that were on stage at the time.
“What this means is that the Grand Finale was inconclusive because a legitimate selection of the finalist candidates available was not made.
“We wish to apologise to the three finalists, and wish to hereby state that preparations are underway to compensate the three final maidens.
“Great apologies also go to our sponsors our loyal viewers, and your uncountable text messages that thronged our short code. We crave for your continual support for this show and promise that more will be coming your way in the nearest future.
“We wish to also inform our viewers that we are already working on another reality show and trust that you will continue with your patronage throughout the next series.”

Meanwhile, news making the rounds
indicates that Alex Biney, who was the King of the maiden edition of the just
ended reality show, after stunning viewers by opting for evicted maiden, Promzy
as his bride-to-be, is feverishly planning to take her to the altar with an
engagement ceremony likely to take place before the year ends.
“Bomaye” selected Promzy ahead of three other finalists, Chichi,
Favour and Princy, during a heart-thumping and nail-biting finale at the Grande
Mensvic Hotel in East Legon, attended by hundreds of the show’s enthusiasts.
Alex and Promise reportedly told Myjoyonline.com in an
interview Monday that fans should expect their engagement before the year ends.
The ecstatic Promzy is also quoted as saying that they are
going to plan for their wedding day, “get together, start a family, make babies
and be happy forever.”
Alex Biney however said “no date” has been set for the
wedding yet but “I had the opportunity to meet her family Sunday, it was great
and they welcomed me and from what it looks like, we are eager to sit down and
really,” plan for the wedding.
“I know definitely we will make a commitment before the year
ends,” he said.
'I'm In Love
with Bomaye' is a colorfully scripted Reality Television Show where twelve
carefully selected “MAIDENS” compete to win the heart of a “KING” and had its
maiden edition launched on May 20, 2012.
Inside the
House, the contestants undertook several activities and were made to undergo
various tasks to help bring out their diverse character and nature. The tasks
and challenges were designed to assess the skills and qualities of the
competitors in the areas that matter most to “BOMA YE” in a potential mate. The
maidens with a varying range of interesting personalities, physical appearances
and life experiences were united in their 'love' for “BOMA YE”.
The 12 maidens
were named; Promzy, Princy, Harriet, Miss G, Sylvia, Jay, Gifty, Favour, Blay,
Lovely, Becky and Chichi
With the help of
viewers and friends, 'Bomaye' was expected to select the right girl who will
prefer him over the $20,000 worth of prizes at stake.

Though many
condemned the reality show saying they did not know what the producers sought
to achieve and that what was portrayed was alien to Ghanaian culture among
others, many others enjoyed it saying it had entertainment value and followed
the maiden edition with keen interest to its end on Sunday.
Ardent followers
predicted either Promzy or Chichi to be the eventual winner.
